Description:

As local business owners, Dan Poeta of Horizon Heat and Air and Matt Johnes of Hannah Flanagan’s have always made charitable giving a priority of their operations. Both understand the importance of giving back to the community that has loyally supported their businesses over the years. Understanding collaboration equals more impact, the two companies joined together in an effort to streamline their philanthropic efforts. Their efforts resulted in a Donor Advised Fund created through Community Foundation of Henderson County which offered the structure and organization to Dan’s, and eventually Matt’s, giving processes that they truly needed. Since then, more than $130,000 has been awarded to over 50 different nonprofits.
